Koriga-Ike Pond, Izu Peninsula
Koriga-Ike Pond, shaped over thousands of years by seismic activity along the Tanna Fault, provides a picturesque pause for travelers along the Izu Skyline. This well-frequented toll road winds through the mountain ridges of the Izu Peninsula, situated approximately 120 km southwest of central Tokyo, Japan.

Border Collie and Mt. Fuji
A snow-capped Mt. Fuji provides a nice backdrop to a portrait of my border collie as we take a break at a small rest area on the side of the Izu Skyline toll road near the mountain ridges of Izu Peninsula, Japan.

Izu Skyline, Shizuoka Pref.
Slow moving clouds sweeping high above the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji as seen from the Izu Skyline along the mountain ridgeline of the Izu Peninsula, Japan.
