Autumn Foliage with the Triple-Sugi Tree of Hikawa

氷川の三本杉と紅葉

The Triple-Sugi Tree (Sanbon-Sugi), located near the rear entrance of Okuhikawa Shrine (奥氷川神社), is a remarkable natural monument over 650 years old. Towering at over 50 meters, it is the tallest cedar tree in Tokyo Prefecture. The tree uniquely splits into three trunks approximately 3 meters from its base, and it has been officially recognized as a Tokyo Cultural Property.
